Mr. R.A Baitie is a visionary business man and entrepreneur whose career has been marked by remarkable achievements and impactful decisions. At the tender age of 18, he took a bold step by securing a loan to establish his first company, laying a foundation for a storied career. He spent decades in high stakes, decision making, executive management positions across various sectors of the Ghanaian Automobile Industry, where he honed his expertise and left an indelible mark. The pinnacle of his career was attaining the prestigious position of the youngest official distributor and importer appointed by an automobile company for West Africa – a role he cherished deeply, as it aligned with his passion and hobby.

Recognizing the opportunity to shape Ghana’s educational landscape, Mr. Baitie made a strategic pivot from the transport industry to co-found Merton International Primary and Secondary School with his wife Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Baitie. This venture, initiated in 1998, has been a testament to his commitment to fostering educational excellence. Though now retired from active management, he remains a pivotal member of the Board of Directors, currently serving as the acting Board Chairperson ensuring the institution continues to uphold its standards of excellence.
