Cambridge AS & A Level Programme

Students who have successfully completed the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme have the opportunity to advance to the esteemed Sixth Form College at Merton. At this institution, students are expected to enroll in a minimum of three subjects, allowing them to tailor their choices to their interests and career aspirations.

The academic journey at the Sixth Form College spans six academic terms, the equivalent of two years of intensive study, culminating in the A-Level examinations. This period is designed to deepen students’ understanding and mastery of their chosen subjects, preparing them for higher education challenges.

The subjects currently offered at the Sixth Form College encompass a diverse range, including Literature in English, Geography, Sociology, History, Economics, French, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art and Design, and Applied Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This frame of options enables students to explore various disciplines, fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and creativity.

Achieving success in the A-Level examinations opens numerous pathways for graduates, granting them the qualifications required for admission to a wide array of universities. Students can pursue higher education both within Ghana and internationally, with opportunities to attend Ivy League and Russell Group Universities in the United States and Canada, and the U.K. respectively.

This progression confers academic credentials on them and expands their global perspectives. Our students are thus prepared for a competitive and technologically disruptive world.

Our daughters love the school and we love the diversity and the parent community. We are indeed happy with our choice and will recommend to all and sundry. Thank you.
