ASHANTI REGIONAL TOUR 2022

High School students embarked on an exciting 4-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

Places visited included Bonwire and Adanwomasi the historic Kente Villages, and the Cocoa Sanctuary at Adanwomasi; Ahwea the woodcarving and stools centre, where all the stools in the Ashanti Kingdom are made; Ntonso, the home of Adinkra; and the Kumasi city tour, where they visited the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, to investigate the famous Okomfo Anokye unremovable sword, since 1695.

Other places visited in the city of Kumasi were the Military Museum; the official indigenous castle palace of the third Asantehene and Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asantehene.

The trip was fun with lots of food, drinks, dancing and laughter.

We look forward to another exciting tour of the Ashanti Region.
