Students of Merton receive several awards at the British Council PSGN Awards

Students of Merton International High School received several awards at the British Council PSGN Awards held on Friday 14th October, 2022.

Five High School students from Merton, won a total of nine awards; Solange Antwi-Donkor, our current Head girl, emerged the best IGCSE student in Ghana, winning in the following categories:

– Outstanding Student Award, Overall Best IGCSE Student.

– Star Performer Award, IGCSE Additional Mathematics.

– Star Performer Award, IGCSE First Language English.

– Star Performer Award, IGCSE Mathematics without Coursework

Her colleagues, who had also worked very hard and provided a challenging environment that supported achievement, also won awards.

Michael Aning, who is currently the Head Prefect, won the following awards:

– Star Performer Award, IGCSE Business Studies;

– Star Performer Award, IGCSE French.

King Solomon Ladzekpo, our current Community Service Prefect won the Star Performer Award, IGCSE Geography;

Nana Kwame Ampomah, currently our Protocol Prefect, won the Star Performer Award, IGCSE Chemistry.

Jiya Phadale, who has gone onto university, also won an award for her Advance Level exams, i.e., Star Performer Award, GCE AS & A Level Economics.
