Ms. Josephine Cudjoe

Headteacher

Ms. Josephine Cudjoe, the Headteacher for Merton Primary School has over 30 years of teaching experience. Ms Cudjoe has taught at the Base Workshop Primary School, Burma Camp; Morning Star School, Accra (her alma matter), Merton Montessori Nursery and Kindergarten School, Accra and presently Merton International School., where she has been for over 20 years.

Ms Cudjoe had her secondary education at Tema Secondary School in Tema and her teacher training at the Presbyterian Women’s Training College at Aburi. At Merton, she was the Sectional Head for Key Stage 1 from 2010 to 2015 and was also the Class teacher for Year 1 Tulip for over 18 years.

In September 2015, Ms Cudjoe became Headteacher for Merton Primary School. Teaching different year groups in all these schools, she has also had specialist roles, leadership roles and offered professional learning activities – helping teachers prepare themselves to encourage a love for learning in the children they teach. She sees teaching as involving a reciprocal relationship between teachers and parents and of course the children.
